Dr Joanna Vivash

Joanna is a registered educational psychologist with almost 10 years’ experience both in the UK and New Zealand. Joanna completed her doctorate in professional educational, child and adolescent psychology at University College London, UK. Prior to working as an educational psychologist, Joanna had 8 years’ experience working within secondary schools (years 7 to 11) as a pastoral leader and teacher.
Joanna is experienced in supporting children with a range of needs including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety and Learning Difficulties. She uses a range of assessment approaches including cognitive, dynamic and learning assessments, and has a warm, open nature which puts children and their families at ease.
Alongside her role as an Educational Psychologist in the UK, Joanna was an Associate for the UCL Centre for Language, Literacy and Numeracy: Research and Practice, and she also worked as a lecturer on the MSc SENCO Award, supporting SENCOs to meet the needs of neurodiverse children.
She is passionate about helping those around the child to understand their strengths and how these can be utilized in the classroom.
Joanna is a member of the New Zealand Psychological Society and a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society.
